What are the benefits of membership in Phi Delta Kappa?

- Below is a partial list of benefits that are offered to chapter
members in Taiwan.
- Earn graduate credits from the University of San Diego. By
attending the various activities of PDK-Taiwan, members may
accumulate the number of hours of participation or attendance of up
to 15 hours total. Contact the PDK-Taiwan
chapter
president for more information.
- You get the chance to attend PDK-sponsored workshops and
training.
- Become a library community member at the Taipei American
School's Secondary Library for no cost.
- Participate in professional development workshops for TAS
teachers.
- Visit schools and learn Western and/or Asian teaching
practices.
- Achieve professional satisfaction in being able to share
professional experiences and provide in-service to fellow educators.
- Have fun socializing and networking with teachers and educators
from diverse backgrounds through cultural explorations and sharing.
This is done through educational field trips and social gatherings.

Who can apply to be a member of Phi Delta Kappa?
- Professional educators in all areas and at all levels.
- Graduate students.
- Individuals in education-related fields.
- Student teachers.
- Undergraduates enrolled in a program leading to teacher
certification.
- Associate membership is also open to individuals such as parents who
do not have teaching credentials but would like to be in touch with the
issues and developments in the field of education.

- What is the eligibility requirement for membership?
- All applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree, except for students who
are completing their teacher certification program.

What is the membership fee?
Annual membership dues are $3000NT or $90 U.S. We also have an
all-electronic membership option that is $1800NT or $55 U.S. For more information
on payment of membership fees, please consult with the Vice-President
for Membership.
